Andre Pinkowski is Senior Lecturer in Photography at the University of Westminster. Before graduating at Goldsmiths University of London with his MA, he studied at the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld, Germany as well as at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, USA. He started working as a freelance photographer in 1993, was involved editing several photographic magazine publications and is founder of ONIMAGE, a picture agency for reproduction rights of contemporary photography. In 2006 he started a student-led agency and international photography prize within the Media, Arts and Design Department – WESTPHOTO – involving current students from various departments, alumni and practicing photographers/artist based in London. He sits on the board of advisers of the London Festival of Photography and is external examiner at Ravensbourne College.
