Currently fourth wave feminism is a worldwide movement and women’s presence in the media has grown larger than ever. Yet in the art world, males are still dominant, with very few female artists commanding prices and success comparable with their male counterparts. As artists, we decided that the best way for us to challenge this was to form a collective of female-identifying artists and creators to exhibit art. The collective hopes to create a space where women’s voices are heard and engaged with. Moreover, we hope to reach new audiences unacquainted with the meaning of feminism. We hope this will be the first of many shows by the collective.
